Kirby in Print
At our recent pop-up shop in Glowing Body Yoga Kirby brought her latest upright loom project to work on during the day. Her weaving caught the eye of a local reporter for the Knoxville News Sentinel, Carol Shane, who struck up a conversation and eventually asked to feature Kirby in one of her articles.
The interview just came out in the paper's weekly Shopping insert and the results are inspiring! Check it out here:

In concert with the meditative space of the Glowing Body, much of their talk revolves around the experience of travel and the personal growth gained from cultural interaction. The publication of our story in traditional media provides us with perspective to see progress in our intentions that FOLK become a platform to connect different peoples based on universal human arts and to educate ourselves and others in the practical implementation of handmade value. It's exciting to watch Kirby grow as a weaver and to find new friends who are passionate about the unique Moroccan textiles we also love.
A year on, we are more motivated than ever to continue seeking beauty in handcrafted objects and to explore our own inner artists.
Thanks for all your support during our first year!
